Baboo Mullah an antiques dealers sits down with Clyde Terry Vice President of the Antiques Association of South Africa to talk about how to valuate those finds tucked away in your basement.

This in conjunction with the National Antiques Faire where products will be valuated.

The valuations at the upcoming National Antiques Fair from the 24 – 26th July at the Sandton Convention Centre is the place to bring your most cherished items to be appraised. Normally valuators charge a percentage of what the item is worth, but at the National Antiques Fair we will be doing valuations in aid of the ORT Foundation. You are encouraged to make a donation when having an item valued. Expert valuators and auctioneers will be on hand to give appraisals.
Valuations will take place on:
Friday 24th July from 11h00 – 15h00;
Saturday 25th July from 11h00 – 15h00;
Sunday 26th July from 11h00 – 15h00.


The National Antiques Faire takes place in Exhibition 1 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Maude Street, Sandown from the 22 – 24th July. A Charity Opening Night will be held on Thursday 21st July for the who’s who of the collecting world (Tickets at R250 per person can be bought online at
