    Old Johannesburg Warehouse Auctioneers’ sales have be- come so big that it now spans two large vintage warehouses on Villages Road in Selby. The Saddington’s buildings (two doors down) will be revealed as part of the winter weekend auction scheduled for June 30 and July 1.

    Over 450 lots of antiques and collectables will keep auction goers occupied – Antique, Africana, Continental and Retro furniture (Le Corbusier, Herman Miller etc); an amazing collection of retro lights (Joe Colombo UFO light etc);

    a great selection of silver; beautiful ceramics (Meissen, Moorcroft, Oriental and more); a large selection of vintage and classic garden sculptures and fountains; clocks; brass items; and so much more span the morning.

    A new 100 lot selection of Automobilia that include vintage signs, petrol pumps, cans, tools, model cars and toys, and an ox-wagon. There will also be 25 plus vintage and classic cars and bikes – to name a few: 1977 Merc 280SL, 1962 VW Beetle black, 1973 VW Kombi Deluxe Auto, 1988 Bentley Turbo, 1980 Honda 1, 1980 Pontiac Firebird, Corvette, 1935 Wolseley Wasp, 1929 New Henley Motorbike, Mustang and more auctioned between 12pm and 2pm.

    At 2pm an eclectic selection of traditional and contemporary art by the likes of Adriaan Boshoff, Amos Langdown, Gregoire Boonzaier, Pieter van der Wes- thuizen, Portchie, Christiaan Nice, Wessel Marais, Otto Klar, Irma Stern, Ruth Everard Haden, Cecil Skotnes, and Frans Oerder goes under the hammer.

    On Sunday July 1 “Treasure hunt Sunday” kicks off at 9am with a trove of items that will keep auction goers busy for hours with so much to choose from!

    The stand-alone jewellery and watch session begins at 2pm with over 300 glittering lots. A magnificent tennis necklace in 18ct white gold set with 14.6ct diamonds, a large emerald and diamond pendant, and fancy coloured diamonds are some of the mentionable items on auction.

    For the watch collectors: Rado, Rolex, Panerai, Omega and Vintage Omegas, Breitling, Tag Heuer etc will encourage furious bidding.

    In this session vintage handbags are included by the likes of Louis Vuitton, Mont Blanc and Gucci.

    When and where:

    Viewing for this auction is open to the public on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 June from 8:30am to 4pm at both ware- houses 25 & 29 Village Rd, Selby.  On auction days it is open from 8am until the auction starts at 9am.

     Safe, guarded parking is available across the road from the warehouse.
