A variety of exclusive and exotic imported antique furniture will be the focus of Park Village Auctions’ (PVA) upcoming general auction. PVA’s Elaine Hague says that the items’ exclusivity will surely pique the interest of interior designers and discerning collectors.
The assets on offer stem from the liquidation of a notable importer and supplier of rare architectural pieces, antique furniture and decorative elements, light fittings and chandeliers.
First to go under the hammer will be an assortment of authentic architectural pieces which include ethnic Burmese teak Gujarat doors, Jaliiron andBurmese teak balcony rails, Burmese window frame shutters, teak pillars, and a 19th century Gujarat teak carved screen.
Furniture to be auctioned includes a nine-leaf extended teak dining table, a Georgian teak bookcase, a teak Almira cupboard, a Regency linen cupboard, a Bengali church bench, a Burmese teak table with a marble top, a refectory table, Italian armchairs, Chippendale Rosewood dining chairs, Burmese teak Bajot tables with servers, chests of drawers, ottomans, coffee tables, and occasional tables among many other rare items.
Under the banner of lighting, a collection of classical chandeliers styled on old designs to modern fittings with an industrial appeal as well as a variety of lamp stands and lanterns will be sold.
Finally, a large collection of décor items and ornaments will also be available.
