February is shaping up to be an impressive month for Park Village Auctions (PVA). A variety of lighting and generator manufacturing assets, along with a complete powder coating plant, will be brought to market via two auctions spanning over three days. T
hat’s the news from PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn who explains that the auctions represent an excellent opportunity for buyers to get their hands on otherwise costly industrial equipment.
The first auction starts February 21 at 10:30am, with the sale of equipment and office furniture stemming from a large generator manufacturing concern.
Located at 98 Losper Avenue, Spartan, Kempton Park, PVA will auction a compressor, inverter-welders, a CO2 welder, a two-ton air operated chain block, rope and electric hoists, a three-ton forklift, a press break, a pedestal drill, a thread cutting machine, a heavy duty electric motor, a hydraulic jack, a jackhammer, a cable drum jack, a cut-off saw, a band saw, an A-frame gantry, scaffolding and wheels, and a guillotine.
As well as sundry testing equipment, hand and power tools, chain blocks, and assorted office furniture.
Viewing will take place the day prior from 10am to 4pm.
PVA will then host a two-day auction which will see engineering equipment, stock, vehicles, and office furniture which stem from a national lighting manufacturing concern go under the hammer.
Day one of the sale will take place at 20 Yaron Avenue, Lea Glen, Roodepoort on February 22 at 10:30am.
Specified engineering equipment comprises an acrylic diffuser bending machine, a CNC bending brake, an Aldair 20- ton mechanical press brake, 35-, 45-, 80-, and 90-ton mechanical bending brakes, various 220V inverter welders, 35 kVA spot welders, Caxton eccentric presses, a Promecam 35-ton bending brake, an Aries 245 automatic punch, an Amada CNC Punch, a guillotine, an Elumatec mitre saw, a vertical band saw, a horizontal band saw, a surface grinder, a centre lathe, and a press drill.
Vehicles to be auctioned include a 1995 Mercedes Benz truck, 2006 Nissan Hardbody 2.0, and Nissan Hardbody 2700D. T
he second instalment follows at 10:30am the following day at 68 Albertina Sisulu Road, Industria West.
First on the block will be a complete powder coating plant. Thereafter, assets comprising robotic assembly, a polyurethane mixing and injection system, a Caterpillar Olympian 220kVA generator, finished and work in progress stock, steel racks, multi-tier medium industrial shelving, and various items of office furniture.
