Old Johannesburg Warehouse Auctioneers will be heating up the cold winter air this week- end with one of their biggest auctions to date with over 1500 lots.
On Saturday, the auction kicks off at 9am sharp.
On offer will be over 400 lots of antique, English, French, Africana and other furniture, a great selection of silver (beautiful Corinthian candlesticks, salvers, inkwells, Russian cutlery and a beautiful English tea set by Rebecca Eames and Edward Barnard is under the hammer).
Also expect beautiful ceramics, an impressive selection of wine (over 1 000 bottles), vintage toys, figurines and comics, enamel signs, carpets and more.
The art session begins at 2pm.
An eclectic selection of traditional and contemporary art by the likes of Adriaan Boshoff, Diane Victor, Don Madge, Amos Langdown, Marjorie Wallace, Pieter van der Westhuizen, Portchie, Christiaan Nice, Wessel Marais, Nils Burwitz, J H Pierneef, Gordon Vorster, Deborah Bell, to name a few, go under the hammer.
On Sunday, “Treasure hunt Sunday” kicks off at 9am with a trove of items that will keep auction goers busy for hours.
The stand-alone jewellery and watch session begins at 2pm with over 300 glittering lots. For the watch collectors, Cartier, Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Tag Heuer and Rotary watches will be on offer.

Viewing for this auction is open to the public today from 8.30am until 4pm.
On auction days it is open from 8am until the auction starts.
Safe, guarded parking is available across the road from the warehouse.
